Severe Weather Update - Oklahoma & Texas

The above image was just taken from the Tulsa radar.  You can see the current Southwestern extent of thunderstorm activity along the front/dryline has reached the southeast corner of Kansas.

Additional towering cumulus clouds are developing along the front/dryline from Oklahoma into southwest Texas, as shown by the latest visible satellite image below:

The towering cumulus clouds within the solid red outlined areas could erupt into thunderstorms at any time, while the towers within the dashed red area will probably take another hour or so before development will occur.

Any thunderstorms that form along and ahead of the front/dryline across Oklahoma and northwest or northcentral Texas will be capable of producing very large hail, damaging winds and tornadoes.  In southwest Texas, the greatest threat will be very large hail, but isolated tornadoes also cannot be ruled out there either.

If you live in these areas, please remain alert and be prepared to seek shelter if threatening weather approaches your area.
