Severe Weather Update - Oklahoma

As we had expected earlier, the thunderstorm area over central Oklahoma has accelerated over the past 1-2 hours and is now already entering Eastern Oklahoma.  The leading edge of this activity will enter the Tulsa Metro area during the next hour.  Isolated storms have also formed ahead of the area (as expected), with one currently sitting right over Tulsa, as you can see on the above radar image taken a moment ago.

Large hail, strong, gusty winds and very heavy rains will be the primary threat with this activity over the next 1-2 hours.

Heavy rains occurring across repeat areas may lead to flash flooding, or flooding of other low lying areas as well.  This will create a messy situation for the drive home in the Tulsa area...
