Severe Weather Update - Texas

The above image was just taken from the Granger, TX radar.  The left half shows the radar in reflectivity mode while the right half shows velocity (wind speed/direction) mode.  Rotation is indicated with this storm (as indicated by the white circled area on the velocity image), just to the immediate East/Northeast of Evant.  Very large hail is also likely occurring, to the North/Northeast of Evant.  This storm is moving East at 15 mph.

Residents north of US-84 and south of SR-36 should remain alert as this dangerous storm moves slowly Eastward.

The above storm is just one of a broken line that has developed along the dryline, from near Ft. Worth, southward to near Junction:

Very large hail and isolated tornadoes will be possible with any severe storm that forms in this region through the evening.
